NEW YORK -- Ralph Lauren is expanding his licensing relationship with Sara Lee Corp. to include manufacturing and distribution of men's Polo/Ralph Lauren robes, loungewear and pajamas, beginning with spring 1997.
In February, Lauren signed a deal with Sara Lee to produce the women's and girls, Ralph Lauren Underwear Collection. Sara Lee is setting up a Ralph Lauren division to handle women's underwear, loungewear and robes, and men's loungewear, pajamas and robes, said John Idol, president and chief operating offficer of domestic licensing of Polo Ralph Lauren. He said that a division head has not yet been named.
