IT is one tail with a happy ending for a dog owner whose pooch has struck gold in the 'ruff' at one of the north coast's golf clubs.
Other dog owners could be green with envy and certainly have a fairway to go to match the money-making potential of this hound who has it off to a tee when it comes to unearthing stray golf balls which can be worth at least a pound a time.
Said one local: "This dog has an uncanny knack of sniffing out missing golf balls and it is certainly a nice little earner for its owner.
"The man regularly takes the dog for walks along a local golf course and the dog just seems to sniff out the balls. And they are not just ...
