LABOUR'S gaffe-strewn Glasgow East by-election campaign hit fresh trouble yesterday after it emerged their celebrity supporter has backed independence.
Taggart star John Michie hit the streets with Labour candidate Margaret Curran on the campaign trail this week.
Yet little more than a year ago, the actor made an impassioned plea for Scotland to go it alone.
In a short film for the BBC politics programme This Week - screened UK-wide just a week before last year's Holyrood election - Michie backed the SNP's core policy of independence.
