AN accomplice in the horrific Charles Manson cult murders who is dying from brain cancer was denied compassionate parole yesterday.
Susan Atkins, 60, who was convicted of killing actress Sharon Tate and seven others in 1969, wanted to spend her final months surrounded by family and friends.
'Susan has served a life sentence,' said her sister-in-law Virginia Seals. 'This is about her death.' But after a packed hearing before the California parole board in Sacramento her plea was rejected.
