NEW YORK - The first major-league ballpark ever to cost $1 billion to build lends more than a shiny new look to the intersection of 161st Street and River Avenue, in the heart of the hardscrabble Bronx. It also lends a new perspective, something that isn't always easy to come by in a city that likes to think of itself as the center of the known universe.
