IT IS SEVEN years since I lost my breasts not a lump, not tissue, but both breasts an operation known as a double mastectomy. It is as severe a solution to breast cancer as there is. It is disfiguring. It is life-changing. It is traumatic. But it is life-saving.
And it is why I am here today, able to explain to my daughters, aged 17 and 19, my uneasiness that a Page 3 model wants to raise money for my cause, and the cause of all other breast cancer survivors, with our scars and our stitches, our wounded chests and our flat torsos.
