A TAXI driver was brutally attacked and his car smashed by a mob of thugs in Pontefract.
The 48-year-old taxi driver was parked on Eastbourne Terrace at 11pm on Friday to pick up a regular customer when a group of up to ten people approached the car.
A female in the group tried to open the car door to get to the male passenger, who was sitting on the back seat with a child, while the rest of the group surrounded the car.
