Sigourney Weaver's new film is science fiction -- but it's a far cry from Alien and it suits her softer side, writes Evan Fanning
THE next 12 months promises to be quite a year for Sigourney Weaver. For starters, she celebrates her 25th year of marriage to theatre director Jim Simpson which, incidentally, they plan to celebrate by hosting a barn dance.
Secondly, her only child Charlotte is leaving the family home in New York to begin university.
Finally, as if all that doesn't provide enough encouragement to delve into a period of tearful nostalgia, it's also the 30th anniversary of Alien, the movie which turned Weaver into the ...
