At Yankee Stadium last week, Josh Hamilton introduced his talent and story of personal redemption to a national audience with a spectacular power display.
Although only an exhibition - and except for Hamilton's efforts, a dull one - the Home Run Derby may have represented baseball's best summer fling before the media turn up the volume on NFL training camps.
