Deep in the heart of Kemper County's rolling hills and steep gullies is one of the many hidden gems of Mississippi. Sciples Mill is located about ten miles northwest of DeKalb off Kellis Store Road. Signs will lead you right to the mill's driveway.
Built in 1790 (making it over 200 years old), the mill is located in a picturesque setting with the Running Tiger Creek flowing underneath the battered wooden structure, and a wall of bamboo stands along the creek out back.
