This recipe for homemade ice cream has been in my family for several generations. It is much easier to make now with electric ice cream freezers, although it was fun taking turns with the crank until it was too hard to turn indicating that it was ready co eat. This is truly the best ice cream thin has ever melted in your mouth You may add toppings or fruit, but first try it plain, just out of the freezer, to enjoy the true blend of ingredients and the delight of the rich, delicious vanilla flavor

VANILLA ICE CREAM
6 large eggs at room temperature
2 1/2 cups sugar
2 large cans evaporated milk
3 tablespoons pure vanilla ...
