LOS ANGELES, April 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Phil Quartararo, President and CEO of Virgin Records America, has announced the creation of an interactive media department and imprint. The department will oversee the development, production, marketing of multimedia products (such as enhanced audio disks and some CD-ROM titles) through Virgin Records' newly launched Digital Garden imprint. In addition, the department will oversee all web sites and online services for Virgin in the U.S.
The move is part of a global cooperative effort by Virgin Records America, the Virgin Music Group Worldwide, and EMI International's New Media division.
