JOCKEY Club Racecourses has highlighted the Derby's inclusion in the Sovereign Series as a further incentive in its search for a sponsor for the Epsom Classic, acting chief executive Andrew Gould said yesterday.
Despite the ten-race, self-styled championships having been given a pasting at the hands of several racing commentators, Gould said that his group remained a committed supporter of the concept, which he described as "work in progress".
