Delivers TCP/IP Offload Gateway Solution to AS/400 Sites

BEDFORD, Mass. April 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The Network Systems Division of IDEA, a leading provider of comprehensive access and integration solutions for IBM host and network-based applications, today announced the IDEA TCP/5250 Server, a standalone, LAN-attached gateway which efficiently offloads CPU-intensive TCP/IP processing from the AS/400. The existing installed base of AS/400s and S/3Xs, as well as new AS/400 sites, will benefit from the TCP/5250 Server's ability to conserve CPU cycles and memory on IBM midrange host systems, resulting in significant performance improvement and cost reductions.
