Apr. 3--Taco Bell Corp.'s president and chief operating officer is leaving the fast-food chain to join the Columbus, Ohio-based bank Banc One Corp.
An odd fit? Neither Ken Stevens, 44, who will become chief executive of Banc One's Retail Group, nor the bank, think so.
"We're interested in his marketing savvy," says John Russell, a spokesman for Banc One, which operates nearly 60 banks with 1,500 offices in a dozen states.
Taco Bell does not plan to replace Stevens.
