SACRAMENTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 8, 1996--Sandra R. Smoley, Secretary of the California Health and Welfare Agency, today released a study of the closed low-level radioactive waste disposal site at Beatty, Nev.
The report concluded that the migration of contaminants found at the Beatty facility cannot recur at the Ward Valley, Calif., site.
"This report clearly states that the Beatty experience will not be repeated at the Ward Valley facility," said Smoley.
