WORCESTER - The TD Banknorth branch inside the Big Y supermarket at 50 Southwest Cutoff was robbed yesterday for the second time in a week.
According to Detective Sgt. Kevin J. Pageau, a male wearing glasses and a baseball cap walked inside the supermarket around 5 p.m. yesterday, and strolled toward the bank. The man approached a counter and slid a note to the teller demanding money. The teller complied, and the man fled the store in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash.Last Monday, an unarmed man entered the same TD Banknorth branch about 6:20 p.m. and passed a note ordering a teller to give him money.
