NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 9, 1996--Howard I. Atkins has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of New York Life. Atkins, 45, had been Chief Financial Officer at Midlantic Corporation prior to its merger with PNC.
