Sodium chlorate is extensively used in paper pulp, perchlorates, chlorites, water treatment, disinfection, oil recovery, oxidants, herbicides, dyeing/printing, leather tanning, explosives, printing, ink, metallurgy, mining and bromine extraction from seawater. With the development of science, technology and economy, its applications are expanding constantly.
The production of chlorates in China has been based on potassium chlorate for many years.
