THE city's taxi drivers will be put out of business by the new arrangement of taxi ranks approved by Kilkenny Borough Council last week, a local driver has warned.
"This is not going to work for us because people are used to getting taxis on the Parade," taxi driver, Joan Fitzpatrick said in response to plans to locate taxi ranks on Bateman Quay, James's Street, Dean Street, High Street and the Castle Road, in addition to John Street and the Parade.
