A TERRIFIED bus driver was knifed by hoodies in a Barnsley village as he tried to stop them stealing his takings.
The driver, who has not been named but is in his 30s, was attacked as he pulled up at a stop outside the old pit site in Middlecliffe Lane, Little Houghton, at 11.20am yesterday.
Two men wearing hooded tops and baseball caps boarded the vehicle and asked if it was going to Barnsley before one of them brandished a three-inch blade and demanded money.
But the brave driver, who is from the Barnsley area, refused to hand any money over and asked the yobs what they were going to do with the knife. One of the men, who had the top of his hood pulled tightly ...
