COLERAINE Inst rower Jonathan Mitchell has secured double silver at the Coupe de la Jeunesse in Cork.
Jonathan, who is in year 13, won two silver medals with the Irish Junior 18 coxed four at the weekend's competition. Also know as the Junior European Rowing Championships, it was founded in 1985 and is open to rowers who are 18 or under.
On day one of the event Jonathan's crew finished four seconds behind Britain and half a second in front of Italy to collect silver medals. Day two saw Jonathan replicate his success from day one as he picked up a second silver medal.
