Police found a woman in the street, distressed, soaking wet, and wearing just one slipper, after she'd fled from her home in fear of her partner.
In the last three years, police have been called to the house 10 times in relation to "domestic incidents".
At Jedburgh Sheriff Court last Thursday, Roman Osinski, 43, of Burnhead Road, admitted placing his partner in a state of fear and alarm and committing a breach of the peace at their home on February 29.
Depute fiscal Sally Clark said the couple had both been drinking and there was an argument between them around 10.15pm.
She said Osinski was shouting and swearing at the woman.
