VOTERS go to the polls today in the most important by-election in living memory.
The contest in Glasgow East is already the biggest betting by-election in history with more than pounds 250,000 wagered.
But the stakes for Labour are much higher than that.
A defeat in a seat they have held for decades could bring down the Prime Minister.
If Labour lose the 13,507 majority they won at the last general election in 2005, none of their MPs is safe.
And the pressure on Gordon Brown ...
