Apr. 10--Two local banks -- Citizens and Hospital Trust -- are offering new products that will help customers make contributions to charities.
The products are being promoted just as taxpayers scramble for deductions to complete their 1995 tax returns, and are thinking about how to improve their tax planning for next year.
They also represent another example of the stiff competition among banks to drum up fresh business by adding new wrinkles to the same, basic products and services they all offer.
