The weekend competition at Brown Trout Golf Club was a pairs qualifying event to determine who represents the club in the County Final of the Holmpatrick Cup - a charity for the National Council for the Blind of Ireland - at Faughan Valley Golf Club on 26th.July.
Played off 0.75 handicap, the in-form David Wilson (14) and Clark Scott (15) held off the challenge of Tommy McGowan (9) and William Pyper (9) with both pairs finishing with 43 points.
With the help of a birdie two at the second by Clark giving them 21 over the first nine they added 22 thanks to a crucial birdie three by David at the seventeenth.
Tommy got his side off to a great start ...
