COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. _ How big should a little horse be? Apparently, there is a difference of opinion.
The American Miniature Horse Registry says that while smaller is better, the pint-size equine can measure up to 38 inches from the shoulder at the base of the mane to the ground.
But the American Miniature Horse Association says 34 inches is the maximum.
That's a scant 4 inches, or one hand in horse-measuring lingo. Either way, it's an awfully dainty horse.
