An up-the-duff chick-flick in the grand tradition of Knocked Up and Baby Boom, Baby Mama has a simple but potentially promising premise -- a hyper-successful career woman inadvertently chooses a white trash loser as a surrogate mother and has to suffer the consequences.

Writer/director Michael McCullers handles the story reasonably well and his rather flabby script is largely salvaged by the fine performances of his two leading ladies.
