Article: MICHIGAN PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION ORDERS RESTRUCTURING PLANS

LANSING, Mich., April 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The Michigan Public Service Commission today took a major step in implementing electric utility reform by ordering regulated electric utilities to file their plans to make retail wheeling available for new industrial and commercial load in Michigan by January 1, 1997. The Commission has directed Consumers Power Company and The Detroit Edison Company to file their plans no later than May 15, 1996. Other regulated electric utilities are required to file their responses with the Commission by June 14, 1996.
