PHOENIX, April 12 /PRNewswire/ -- America West Airlines (NYSE: AWA) said today that its growth plan initiated this year has generated 337 net new jobs at the airline's Phoenix operations since January 1, 1996. New training classes for pilots, flight attendants and reservations agents are in full swing to meet its needs. In addition to the jobs generated to date, the carrier anticipates at least 230 new jobs will be added in Phoenix by the end of the year.
