A TROUBLED train service is now fully back on track.
The long-awaited restoration of direct trains between Hartlepool and London has been plagued by difficulties since finally beginning at the end of last year.
Major repairs to Grand Central's refurbished rolling stock has seen the company's service reduced from three return journeys a day to one for the last two months.
Work on power cars, which are placed at either end of trains to help them reach high speeds, has now been completed, however, with the timetable returning to normal at the start of this week.
