The Constitutional Club in Bury St Edmunds may get a special bonus treat in time for Christmas as it puts an antique clock up for auction.
The 200-year-old clock is expected to fetch up to [pounds sterling]7,000 when it is sold at Bonhams clock auction, in London, on Tuesday.
All proceeds from the sale will go towards improving the club in Guildhall Street.
Ian McCabe, a committee member at the club, said there are a lot of repairs that need doing.
"Heating, carpeting, windows, decorating - there's so many things that need doing. It's a lovely looking clock and it will be missed."
