HARD working Greene King fund-raisers handed over cheques totalling [pounds sterling]16,000 to nine local charities on Thursday.
Many Westgate Street brewery staff helped to raise the money through a series of events, including quiz evenings, coffee mornings and prize draws.
Justin Adams, managing director of Greene King's brewing company, presented money to Suffolk Red Cross, Riverwalk School, West Suffolk Hospital's Special Care Baby Unit, the stroke unit and ophthalmic department, West Suffolk Mind, Macmillan Cancer Support, Suffolk County Council and Quidenham Children's Hospice.
