SEOUL, July 27 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's 2008 defense white paper, for the third time in a row, is not expected to name North Korea as its "main enemy" despite deadlocked inter-Korean relations, a high-ranking military official said Sunday. The new white paper, due to be out at the end of the year, will also clearly mark Dokdo, a set of South Korean islets in the East Sea claimed by Japan, as South Korean territory, he said. "The Defense Ministry is preparing to release the white paper in December. Especially, the description of North Korea is likely to be similar to that of the 2006 white paper," the official said of the new white paper which is published every two years. ...
