The concept of a realistic job preview is not a new one. Many organizations currently provide job candidates with a wide variety of information regarding the specific job for which they are interviewing. However, seldom do the same organizations provide the candidate with in-depth background information regarding the supervisors, coworkers, and/or subordinates. Reverse resume viewing, defined as the opportunity for a job candidate to view the resumes of current organizational employees, provides selected candidates with information which could prove useful in making a career change decision.
