Joan Friedman does not want people to think of her as half of a set of twins.
Though she does have an identical twin sister, Friedman would rather be defined by who she is in her own right.
In her new book, "Emotionally Healthy Twins" (Da Capo Press), the Brentwood psychotherapist draws on her own experiences to address the emotional issues twins face and how parents can handle them.
With the recent boom of twin babies in Hollywood, most recently the highly anticipated births of Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline to actress Angelina Jolie, twins have taken center stage.
