New numbers say CDMA continues to be the dominant wireless technology in North America, with 140 million cdmaOne and CDMA2000 subscribers in the region. And that's translating into more money for carriers.
According to the CDMA Development Group, the CDMA market share in North America is 51 percent and, as of March, the region represents 31 percent of total CDMA subscribership worldwide. The group adds CDMA2000's 17-percent compound average growth rate (CAGR) is being driven by widespread adoption of 1xEV-DO Revision A (Rev. A) and advanced wireless broadband services.
