There have been several proposals and expensive studies done to examine the feasibility to provide passenger rail services to the central Florida area, in addition to the existing Amtrak services.
These new passenger services would be for linking the tourist airports of Orlando and Tampa to tourist destinations, reducing traffic on roads, providing commuter services, and a host of other much needed and beneficial services throughout central Florida communities.
