SEATTLE, and THE WOODLANDS, Texas, April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Targeted Genetics Corporation (Nasdaq: TGEN) and RGene Therapeutics Inc. today jointly announced that they have signed a definitive merger agreement whereby Targeted Genetics will acquire RGene in a stock transaction. Through the merger, Targeted Genetics will acquire RGene's proprietary non-viral gene delivery technology, and a potential gene therapy product for the treatment of cancer that is currently in Phase I clinical trials.
