WHITLEY Bay strikes me as being a nice quiet place, although very busy on a weekend.
It doesn't seem any worse than other North East town but, apparently, that was not always the case.
Going through our archives I came across an interesting Whitley Bay story from 1958.
Interesting because the headline screamed that Whitley Bay hoodlums were set to take part in a gang ...
