Apr. 16--Bottled drinking water sold in the state contains no pesticides or bacteria and is safe to drink, according to a report by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.
The agency tested ten samples of drinking water sold or distributed in the state for 95 possible substances including bacteria, chemical contaminants and aesthetic defects.
Results of the 950 tests found that the water met both health enforcement and aesthetic quality standards set by the state. Tests confirmed that the water met all criteria for taste, odor and appearance.
