The survey, being conducted by Aurum Exploration Services on behalf of Boliden Tara Mines and Mayfly Resources Ltd is designed to, obtain more information on the geology of the region as part of ongoing mineral exploration programmes .
Aurum Exploration Services will be using a Bell Geospace fixed wing aircraft to conduct their survey. When passing overhead at the required survey height of 80 metres the plane is described as sounding akin to the noise of a passing lorry , a sound the company are warning horse and other animal owners about.
