Work began Monday on a cofferdam to aid in the reconstruction of Highway A at Lake Delton, according to the state Department of Transportation.
Gov. Jim Doyle last week signed a $1.08 million emergency contract to install the temporary dam near the planned embankment of the new road. The cofferdam will keep the water out of the work zone so road construction can begin.
James Thieding Construction. of Loganville, is the prime contractor for the dam.
Construction includes placement of aggregate and sheet piling and removal of two partial buildings. Thieding Construction began moving equipment to the site ...
