The door to the Springbok team remains open, ever so slightly, according to Springbok coach Peter de Villiers but it is going to require a special effort from any player in the Currie Cup to get into the team.
De Villiers yesterday opted not to replace the injured Peter Grant and Ryan Kankowski and will soldier on during the one-off Mandela tribute Test against Argentina next week and the remainder of the Tri-Nations with a squad of 28 players baring further injury.
Grant will undergo key hole surgery in the next two days to remove scar tissue and bone fragment in his right shoulder and is expected to make a full recovery ...
