Introduction
Since the demonstration that 5-fluorouracil (5FU)-based chemotherapy provides benefit in elderly patients suffering from metastatic colorectal cancer (MCRC), in the absence of severe comorbidities, as it does in younger patients, these regimens have been used increasingly more often [1,2]. The development of targeted therapies has raised the question of age limits for their use.
