Greek shares rebounded along with European bourses, recovering from yesterdays selling pressure, and were sharply higher in light early afternoon trade.

At 1:00 p.m. the ASE general index grew 1.5 percent to 3,421.9 and blue chips were 1.5 percent higher at 1,887.8. Mid caps jumped 1.2 percent to 4,117.3 and small caps increased 0.5 percent to 791.4.

Advancers beat decliners 150 to 50 and 124 were unchanged.
