The summer is the last time you'd expect a backlash against fake boobs -- they are, after all, on show at just about every poolside in Europe. Yet controversial British novelist Tony Parsons has chosen this month as his moment to write about his "fear of fake breasts" in GQ magazine.
And the reaction has been one of surprise to Tony's assertion that enhanced breasts don't feel like the real deal. Ailish Carthy is MD of Cosmedico cosmetic surgery in Wicklow, and says the demand for breast implants and uplifts has increased by 60pc in the past 12 months.
