PAUL BETTY continued his drive towards glory in the Allied Surveyors Scottish Amateur championship at Carnoustie yesterday, despite spending the build-up to the event nursing injuries sustained in a car crash.
The 24-year-old from Hayston, who won the Scottish Champion of Champions crown earlier this season, eased to an impressive 3& 2 win over former national strokeplay champion Scott Henry in the fifth round to set up a last-eight duel this morning with No 1 seed Callum Macaulay.
