CUPERTINO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 24, 1996--Measurex Corporation (NYSE/PSE:MX) today announced that it has acquired the Measurement Systems Business of Loral Control Systems, a division of Loral Fairchild Corp. for $4.5 million.
The Measurement Systems Business, which manufactures thickness and sheet width gauges for use in the metals industry on flat rolled products, will operate as part of Measurex DMC. Under terms of the purchase agreement, Loral Control Systems will retain its current backlog and will initially manufacture the Measurement Systems Business family of gauging systems for Measurex DMC under license.
