The heat is on to find our favourite fryer as National Chip Week launches on Monday, February 13.
With more than 8,500 chip shops in Britain serving us 500,000 tonnes of potatoes every year, our mouthwatering mission to find the tip top chip in the Bury Free Press circulation area marches on.
Gary Snushall, 34, manager of Snushall and Son chip shop in Mildenhall, said: "The perfect chip has got to be golden brown and crispy on the outside.
"A chip is not a chip without salt and vinegar and for some reason someone else's chips always taste better than your own."
